Our Speech Therapists have their master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and are licensed in the state of California. Each one is dedicated to you and your child’s communication success.
Kayla Chalko - San Diego
Director and Speech-Language Pathologist
Kayla is the director and has 10 years of professional experience working with children, including her years as a preschool teacher. She specializes in Early Intervention Speech Therapy with children ages 18 months to 3 years old. In her master’s program she received extra training on Autism Spectrum Disorders at San Diego State University and is especially skilled in speech therapy with children with Autism. Her passion is educating and empowering families to help their child with a speech or language delay to communicate effectively.
Haley - San Diego
Haley received her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology at Indiana University. Immediately following, she completed her graduate studies in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at San Diego State University. She’s worked with individuals of all ages with varying speech delays and language disorders. Early childhood intervention is her passion and she enjoys doing in-home therapy with families in San Diego.
Rhian - San Diego
Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Spanish and English)
Rhian grew up in Northern California, where she received her undergraduate degree at University of the Pacific in Speech-Language Pathology. She moved to San Diego to attend SDSU for her master’s degree, and stayed in the area to begin her career. Rhian’s areas of expertise include language delays, Autism, articulation/phonology, apraxia of speech, and cleft palate. She has experience working with children of all ages, and has found that early intervention is truly her passion. She loves working with children with speech delays and their families!
Emma - San Diego
Emma grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University, and went on to receive her Master’s from Loyola University in Maryland. She has a wide range of experience with kids of all ages, including early intervention. Currently, she works full time in an elementary school with students who have a variety of disorders including expressive and receptive delays, fluency, articulation, and pragmatic deficits, as well as students with Autism.
David - San Diego
David works full-time with elementary school students as a speech therapist but loves to work with toddlers and their families after school doing Early Intervention Speech Therapy. He graduated from California’s top-rated Speech Pathology program at San Diego State University and specializes in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Abby - San Diego
Abby grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Her favorite part about being a speech therapist is building relationships with families and helping them make progress toward their goals through play! She loves being a part of developing positive communication with pediatric clients and their families.
Jordan - San Diego
Jordan received her master’s in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University, which has the top rated program in the state! She has experience working with children and adults across the lifespan. She primarily works with children with a variety of speech and language disorders including; expressive-receptive language delays, apraxia of speech, articulation and P\phonological disorders, voice disorders, and hearing loss. She is also Hanen Certified. She loves encouraging families to become a part of their child’s language development and creating unique treatment plans that are functional and appropriate for each family.
Alexandra - San Diego
Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Spanish and English)
Alex has been a speech-language pathologist for 6 years with experience working with people across the lifespan. She graduated from the University of Redlands in 2013 with her M.S. in Communication Disorders. In addition to working as a speech therapist in Early Intervention, she has experience coaching, teaching swim lessons, and camp counseling. Her pediatric clinical specialties include autism spectrum disorder, phonological disorders, bilingual speech therapy (Spanish and English,) cleft lip, and cleft palate.
Jill - San Diego
Jill has a master’s degree from La Salle University in Pennsylvania. She really enjoys involving parents and empowering them to use their daily routines for language learning. She is a compassionate and adaptive speech-language pathologist who makes great progress teaching late talkers to communicate more effectively.
Diana - San Diego
Diana is so excited to work with you and your child! She is passionate about her career and truly enjoys seeing the progress that her students and clients make in speech therapy! She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Diego State University and is currently employed full time as a school Speech-Language Pathologist. She has experience with a variety of different ages and speech-language delays or disorders including speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders, fluency disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism, Down Syndrome and other developmental delays and disorders.
Jillian - Greater Sacramento Area
Speech-Language Pathologist (Consultation Only)
Jillian attended University of the Pacific for her bachelor’s of science degree and San Diego State University for my her master’s degree. She currently resides in Sacramento and primarily works in a high school while serving the early intervention population after school hours. Her passions include bilingual language learners, Augmentative, Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and fluency disorders. She is Hanen Certified (More Than Words), PROMPT trained, and has extensive experience with both low-tech AAC (like the Picture Exchange Communication System) and high-tech devices.
